Vickers is situated in the centre of Woodstock and overlooks the Ancient Market Place, where the Farmers Market is still held on the first Saturday each month.
Only a few minutes walk from Vickers is the entrance to Blenheim Palace, home of the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Designed by Vanburgh with parklands landscaped by Capability Brown, you could not pick a better place to walk or picnic.
Vickers is an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds with Burford and Charlbury nearby. Stratford-Upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s Birthplace - is only twenty-nine miles away. While the ‘dreaming spires’ of Oxford University are only seven miles to the South.
All our food is prepared on the premises from Fresh Local Produce by new Head Chef Charlie Butler. We cater for Lunch between 12noon and 3pm, Dinner between 6-9pm. Private Functions and Christmas Parties, plus themed days: - St Georges Day. Charlie can prepare food to suite most dietary requirements - please ask you waiter or waitress on arrival.
